Professional Scholarly Editing
Hello!
I’m Sarah Moran, an early modern art historian and women’s historian. I have a PhD from Brown University and 20 years of experience in academia in the US, Switzerland, Belgium, and the Netherlands. I’ve held some fancy grants and published some stuff, and my research focuses mainly on women’s artistic patronage in the Counter Reformation.
Recently I’ve shifted away from teaching and towards scholarly editing, which has long been part of my professional life. As an editor I specialize in two groups of clients: first, scholars and museum professionals in my own areas of specialization - early modern Western art history, cultural and religious history, and women’s history, and second, international humanities and social science scholars writing grant applications and scholarly texts in English. I’m passionate about helping researchers communicate their ideas in polished, persuasive prose to give them the best chances for professional advancement.
